IKEA Sets Guinness World Record For Hosting Pyjama Party For 2000 Employee

IKEA, the Swedish furniture store, sets a Guinness World Record. To celebrate the opening of their new store in Sweden, they organized a big event with over 2,052 employees. 

IKEA organised a theme-based Pyjama party, breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people wearing two-piece pyjamas at a single venue. 

According to company officials, the record attempt was part of IKEA’s initiative to produce bedroom decor that promotes better sleep.

Fredrika Inger, IKEA Managing Director, Sweden, said in an official statement, “We’re thrilled about this collective effort. Good sleep benefits everyone and we believe that prioritising it will make a significant difference. Small adjustments, like choosing the right pillow or lighting can lead to big improvements. Our goal is to make these improvements available to everyone because good sleep should be something everyone can achieve.”

In India, IKEA operates stores in Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Worli City and Bengaluru. Recently, the company said that it is launching same-day delivery in Hyderabad and intends to expand it across all of its markets by next year.
