Bengaluru and its startup ecosystem have made it to the headlines many times, and now a recent X post has garnered attention again. According to the post, an intern left his internship at a tech firm after his AI startup got funding. The CEO of the company in which the intern was doing his internship shared this incident on X. Karthik Sridharan, founder of Flexiple, posted a screenshot of the conversation with the intern in which he asked about his absence on Friday in the office, to which the latter replied that he had a meeting with a VC, so he took a leave.

Then he also said that he doesn't need the internship anymore as his AI startup has got funding.

Karthik wrote, “Hey, what happened to you last Friday? I didn’t see you in the office," minutes after the former intern replied back and said, “Hey, sorry I took a leave because I had a meeting with a VC. My AI startup got funded. I don't need the internship anymore.”

Check Out the Viral Post:

Karthik wrote, “This only happens in Bangalore -,” in the caption while sharing. The screenshot of the conversation has gone viral on the social media platform X.

It has got more than 4 lakh views with more than 8,000 likes. While some of the users praised the young entrepreneur for his skills and congratulated him on his new roles, others criticised him for his unprofessional behaviour, sudden exit, and bad conversation skills.

Users Reaction to the Post:

One of the users said, “Glad for the kid! Just hope someone guide him to get better at communications as well!”

Another one said, “i think this is disrespectful to some extent but understandable.”

“It’s great he got the funding! Exceptional, but I would advise him to be more courteous and communicate better!

Life is a learning we all learn along! Wishing him the very best…. For the future,” said a third one.

Meanwhile, a fifth user shared his view and wrote, “People in the comment section judge so quickly and get offended so easily. How do you conclude that the startup guy was chatting with a manager or boss?

This might just be a casual chat between two interns or colleagues. The startup guy clearly mentioned he took leave on Friday, and obviously, he doesn’t need to announce this to the whole office. Since the other guy asked what happened, he explained.”

Well, this is not for the first time, when the startup culture of Bengaluru has gone viral on the internet. A few months ago, a video of a startup founder discussing issues and brainstorming ideas while stuck in traffic went viral.
