Monkeys Attack 5-Year-Old in UP's Mathura, Shocking Video Caught on Camera

Mathura (UP): A five-year-old boy was attacked by a group of monkeys in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, in a shocking incident caught on cam CCTV footage. The viral video creates outrage online, highlighting the dangers posed by monkeys in certain areas of India.

Monkeys Attack Child in Mathura 

The video shows the young boy, identified as Kishan, walking near the Madan Mohan Temple in Vrindavan, Mathura. Suddenly, a group of monkeys approaches him, and one lunges, attacking the child near a temple. 

The cctv footage shows Kishan bravely trying to get rid off the monkeys, but they continue to attack.

Thankfully Rescued

Thankfully, locals who noticed the incident and rushed to help. The monkeys were scared away, and child was brought to safety. Reports indicate he sustained minor injuries.

Monkey Menace in Mathura

The viral video has reignited discussions about the issue of monkey attacks in Mathura. Monkeys are often seen around temples in Mathura, where they are fed by devotees. 

This can lead to them becoming aggressive, especially when they are looking for food. This is not the first incident. Mathura is known for monkeys and their terror on the streets of Mathura.

Local Authorities in Action

The incident has prompted authorities in Mathura to take action against monkeys. Authorities are urging people to refrain from feeding monkeys, and are finding ways to manage the monkey population in the area.

Outrage Over Monkey Attack

The viral CCTV footage has caused outrage online, with many criticizing how local authorities manage the stray dogs, monkeys and other animals who can be vulnerable in nature. 

A few weeks ago, in an incident of stray dog menace in Telangana, a young boy playing outside his house was attacked by a group of 5–6 dogs in Srinagar Colony in Sangareddy. A video of the incident had gone viral on social media, which showed the boy playing near a car when a few dogs attacked him.
