Mathura (UP): A five-year-old boy was attacked by a group of monkeys in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, in a shocking incident caught on cam CCTV footage. The viral video creates outrage online, highlighting the dangers posed by monkeys in certain areas of India.
Monkeys Attack Child in Mathura
The video shows the young boy, identified as Kishan, walking near the Madan Mohan Temple in Vrindavan, Mathura. Suddenly, a group of monkeys approaches him, and one lunges, attacking the child near a temple.
The cctv footage shows Kishan bravely trying to get rid off the monkeys, but they continue to attack.
Thankfully Rescued
Thankfully, locals who noticed the incident and rushed to help. The monkeys were scared away, and child was brought to safety. Reports indicate he sustained minor injuries.

The viral video has reignited discussions about the issue of monkey attacks in Mathura. Monkeys are often seen around temples in Mathura, where they are fed by devotees.
This can lead to them becoming aggressive, especially when they are looking for food. This is not the first incident. Mathura is known for monkeys and their terror on the streets of Mathura.
