VIDEO: Ritu Rathee Breaks Silence Amid Divorce Rumours with Gaurav Taneja: 'The Man is Blamed'

Ritu Rathee, a pilot and the wife of popular YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, has broken her silence following a viral video showing her seeking advice from Premanand Maharaj's "Bhajan Marg" about her troubled marital life.

In a video shared on Instagram, Ritu addressed rumors regarding her divorce and the accusations against Gaurav Taneja. She urged her followers not to villainize Taneja, confirming that the woman seen asking the question in the viral video was indeed her.

In the clip titled “Divorce Reality Check,” Ritu slammed people for adding 'tadka' to her personal moment while she sought help. She clarified that she is not an 'abla naari' and is fully capable of taking care of her children.

“You think you know if he was loyal? A minor issue arose between us; we both thought we were right and became stubborn,” she explained. “Does that give you the right to judge his character? I know him well and don’t need your opinions on his loyalty.”

“I don’t need support from social media. I quit social media one year ago and don’t regret it. People who live in glass houses love to gossip about others," Ritu added.

“It was a personal question. There is no relationship in this world that hasn’t hurt or made you cry. The same thing happened to me.”

“The problem lies with society. We all live in houses of mirrors, but we want to eavesdrop on others’ homes and gossip about them. I handled society when I became a pilot, so this issue is far smaller in comparison. I don’t need society’s support in any way. I am not a weak woman, and nothing wrong has happened to me. I have full faith in God. I don’t need this ‘social media support.’”

She also criticized people for adding to the gossip: “Earlier, when people lived in joint families, society blamed women for everything. Now, society has evolved, people have become independent. Now the man is blamed if a couple separates.”

Confirms Separation

Ritu confirmed that, the woman in the video is her and although they are experiencing difficulties, she is grateful for the eight years she spent with Taneja.

Gaurav Addresses Speculations Around His Divorce

Gaurav posted on social media, writing, "Please stop making any assumptions." He added, "I will remain quiet for my kids and the mother of my child. I'm ready to live with all the negativity and hate for my entire life. Please don’t expect any public explanation."

"Men are made villains very fast. We don’t cry, we talk less, and we express less. Some of us are hardwired like that. Social media is not the place to discuss family matters. I have nothing to say. Hopefully, everything will be sorted soon," Gaurav shared.
