In a saddening incident during the ongoing Navratri festival celebrations, actor Ashok Mali, known as Pune's 'Garba King,' died of a severe heart attack while performing garba at an event in Chakan. 

A heartbreaking video capturing the moment has gone viral on social media.

The video shows Mali performing garba alongside his son when he suddenly seemed unwell and collapsed. Bystanders quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was unfortunately declared dead upon arrival.

The Story of Pune's 'Garba King': Ashok Mali

Ashok Mali, popularly known as Pune's 'Garba King,' hailed from Hol village in Shindkheda taluka of Dhule district. His vibrant performances drew large crowds, showcasing his immense popularity in the garba community. For the past four to five years, Mali dedicated himself to training aspiring garba dancers and was widely respected for his skills.

Recently, he was invited to perform at a Navratri event in Chakan, where his presence was highly anticipated. Tragically, his untimely passing during the performance has left the community in deep shock and mourning, marking the loss of a beloved figure in the world of garba.
