'Ramleela Gone Wrong': Actors Playing Ram and Ravan Clash Onstage in UP| WATCH

Amroha: A Ramlila performance took a dramatic turn in Uttar Pradesh when a real fight broke out between the actors playing the characters of Lord Ram and Ravan on stage.

 The incident occurred in Amroha district during the Dussehra celebrations and was captured on a phone, quickly going viral on social media.

The stage was set for the final scene where Lord Ram was supposed to shoot arrows at Ravan. However, the situation escalated when the actors began pulling each other’s hair and throwing punches. The altercation erupted when the actor playing Ravan pushed the actor playing Ram.

As the fight unfolded, energetic music continued playing in the background. 

Several spectators rushed to the stage to intervene, but the performance had to be stopped as they struggled to separate the two. 

The actor playing Lakshman found himself caught in the middle, attempting to stay in character while his co-stars clashed.

The video, shared by X user Sachin Gupta, was captioned: “In Amroha, UP, Ram and Ravan clashed in real life during a Ramlila performance. Ravan pushed Ram. People reached the stage and intervened.”

Social media users reacted humorously to the incident, with one commenting, "While enacting Ramlila, Mahabharata actually happened."

Another remarked, "This Ravana turned out to be really powerful." Some users, however, criticized the behavior, saying, "One should stay within limits. It is a religious performance. What is the need to behave vulgarly?"
