A routine evening turned eerie for one Swiggy user in Pune when a familiar app feature took an unexpected turn. What should have been a straightforward order tracking experience on the food delivery platform morphed into an uncanny encounter with the supernatural.

According to reports, an observant user, identified as X, noticed a peculiar anomaly on Swiggy's order tracking screen. Behind the customary graphic representing the delivery agent, a ghostly figure appeared, startling the user. X quickly captured the moment and shared it online, sparking a viral sensation.

"I thought my delivery guy had an accident," X mused in the caption accompanying the screenshot, which has garnered over 342K views and counting. The post not only piqued curiosity but also ignited a barrage of reactions across social media platforms.

The unexpected apparition prompted a flood of humorous remarks and speculative theories from users. Some likened the phantom-like figure to characters from popular mobile games like Temple Run and Subway Surfers, drawing parallels to their adventurous aesthetics.

Later Swiggy responded to one of the replies that pointed out the ghost. They said, "Don't worry, it's a promotional stunt for the movie "Kakuda". Kindly catch up over DM. - Deboleena."

“They are giving a subtle message - “you can’t run from your own shadow.”

"I thought I was in a horror game," one user quipped, encapsulating the collective sentiment of surprise and amusement that swept through online communities.

“I thought some ghost is chasing the delivery guy,” another user said.

“The delivery guy seems haunted by a ghost.”

“That literally looks like vikram and betal.”

“We are already scared with some prices. Why scare people swiggy with that icon?”

“That is one Rakshas chasing Swiggy … Rakshas here is symbolic .. it signifies that Swiggy is chasing the delivery boy to ensure he reaches in time.”
