MG Windsor EV Review in 10 Points

JSW MG Motor India recently launched the Windsor EV for the Indian market. It has a connected LED DRL at the front and rear and LED headlamps and tail lamps. 

MG Windsor EV has a length of 4,295 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, and a height of 1,677 mm. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels and has flush door handles for better aerodynamics. 

Windsor EV has an LED projector setup for the headlamps. The throw of these headlamps is decent but the illumination through these headlamps at night could have been better.

The rear has a similar design language as the front. However, Windsor EV misses some features at the rear like there are no rear wipers and washers, which could have been offered at this price. 

The Windsor EV has a massive boot space of 604L. It can accommodate a lot of luggage and the loading lib is also not high. The 60:40 split enhances the boot caryying capacity.

Windsor EV has a two-spoke steering wheel with steering-mounted control. The left-side controls can be assigned for various functions such as ORVM control, drive mode selector, and more. 

The 8.8-inch instrument cluster displays multiple information, such as speedometer, odometer, driving modes, and other information. The display is crisp and does not glare during the daytime. 

The 15.6-inch infotainment screen has multiple features, such as wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 64 colours for ambient lighting, headlight and ORVM controls, and more.

The dashboard of the MG Windsor EV is neatly laid. It has a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and has physical control for the air conditioning. 

The price of the MG Windsor EV is ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and battery rental at ₹3.5/km. We drove the Essence variant, costing ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
