Holi falls in Feb-Mar, coinciding with Hindu month of Phalgun, marking the beginning of spring. 

This year, Holi falls on Friday, March 14, while Holika Dahan, also known as Choti Holi, takes place on the evening of March 13 

Holi's origins date back to ancient India, rooted in the legend of Prahlada and Holika, a tale of good vs. evil.

Hiranyakashipu sought worship, but son Prahlad chose Lord Vishnu, sparking his father's wrath and punishment

Holika, immune to fire, tried to kill Prahlad, but died instead. Lord Vishnu then killed Hiranyakashipu, sparking Holika Dahan celebrations.

After Holika Dahan, devotees receive tilaks, eat seasonal crops & take home Holika ash, believed to bring auspiciousness & blessings
