Combine milk, vinegar, oil, and vanilla extract in a 10-12oz microwave-safe mug, whisking until well mixed.

Add red food colour and mix. The color should be a strong red (it will get diluted once we add cocoa powder)

Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then add sugar, whisking until a smooth batter forms, being careful not to overmix.
