Quetta: Pakistan's largest province, Balochistan, has been plunged into mourning after two deadly attacks, which left at least 10 people dead and many more injured. In the first incident, a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast ripped through a police force vehicle in Quetta City, killing five personnel on the spot. The attack, which occurred on Double Road, sent shockwaves through the city, with reports of damage to nearby buildings and vehicles.

Just hours later, a second attack took place, this time targeting a passenger bus travelling through the province. The unknown gunmen opened fire on the bus, killing at least five people and injuring several others. The attacks have sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for increased security measures to protect civilians and law enforcement personnel.

Balochistan has long been plagued by violence and instability, with separatist groups waging a campaign of war against the government and security forces. The province is home to a number of key infrastructure projects, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has made it a focal point for separatist activity.

The province's security forces have been on high alert in recent months, with a number of operations launched against separatist groups.

The twin attacks have left many in Balochistan feeling increasingly insecure and vulnerable. The province's residents have long been accustomed to living with the threat of violence, but the latest incidents have raised fears that the situation is spiraling out of control.

"It's a very difficult time for us," said one Quetta resident, who wished to remain anonymous. He further added, "We're always looking over our shoulders, wondering when the next attack will come. The government needs to do more to protect us and restore a sense of security to our province."
