Bosnia Hercegovina on Thursday confirmed that 400 people were being monitored for symptoms of the new virus, after two people were confirmed to have COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

A truck driver who had been working in northern Italy was the first to be diagnosed, followed by his teenage son.

Officials said the boy's school had been closed to allow for disinfection, while dozens of other students had been tested for the virus.

The virus patients lived in Banja Luka and are now being looked after at a local hospital, where a lung disease clinic has been turned into an isolation ward.
