A major incident was averted at the Atlanta Airport after two Delta Airlines aircraft collided on the taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Atlanta: A major incident was averted at the Atlanta Airport on Tuesday after two Delta Airlines aircraft collided on the taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The incident took place in Atlanta, Georgia, when a Delta Airlines Airbus A350-941 aircraft (N503DN) clipped the vertical stabilizer off the Delta Connection Bombardier CRJ-900LR plane (N302PQ), operating flight DL 5526.
As per FAA officials, one of the aircraft's wings struck the tail of another, causing it to come off.
The Atlanta Airport Authority stated, "At 10.07 am, two aircraft made contact at the intersection of taxiways E and H on the north airfield. No injuries are reported. Passengers from one aircraft are being bussed to concourse B; the other aircraft taxied on its own power to its gate. There is minimal impact to ops.”

Both aircraft were taxiing for departure with the CRJ-900 holding short of runway 08R at taxiway H. At that time the A350 taxied along taxiway E.
