Dhaka: ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu who has been jailed in Bangladesh , has begun fast unto death. 

ISKCON Kolkata Vice President Radharamn Das who issued a statement in this regard expressed hope with the Trump administration and said that countries across the globe must pay attention towards the injustice being handed out to Chinmoy Prabhu.

“Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu has begun a fast unto death in jail. The only hope lies with Tulsi Gabbard and DonaldTrump. The world must wake up and speak out against this grave injustice and human rights violation of a monk,” he said.

Chinmoy Prabhu Raised Voice Against Attacks on Hindu Minorities

Earlier in November last year, Chinmoy Prabhu, also revered as Sri Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu, a Hindu leader of Bangladesh, a monk of the ISKCON temple, and the voice of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh was arrested by Dhaka police for holding a peaceful protest on Monday.

Hindu Monk Chinmoy Prabhu was picked up from Dhaka Airport by Dhaka Police on Monday afternoon.

Chinmoy Prabhu’s Health Worsened

Following the regime change in Bangladesh, ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, was arrested because he raised his voice against the attacks on Hindu minorities in the country.

According to reports, Chinmoy Krishna Das' health is deteriorating as he is being denied basic things in the jail.

Tulsi Gabbard on Bangladesh

In her recent remarks, US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard asserted that violence against minorities in Bangladesh stems from an “ideology and objective to rule and govern with an Islamist Caliphate”.
