People in Chile can now travel abroad if travellers are fully vaccinated against coronavirus, authorities said Monday.
The move ends a travel ban imposed in April when the country was coping with a surge of COVID-19 cases.
Chilean authorities llifted the restriction after a sustained decline in new cases and the high number of people vaccinated - currently 79% of the target population.
Officials said people eligible to travel abroad should be vaccinated and have a mobility pass, a document for local transit for those who have received both shots.

Chile's borders are still closed to foreign visitors.
The country has reported 35,026 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
