The Colombian champion of 2020 Tango World Cup celebrated his victory Sunday despite this year's changes brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
ValentÃn Arias Delgado told The Associated Press how for him and his dance partner Diana Franco Durango the competition was still "super important and worthy of respect."
Instead of competing at the Luna Park stadium in Buenos Aires, competitors had to send a video of their performances to the organisers.
After more than 91,000 online votes, the public crowned the champions of this year's competition.

Arias Delgado and Franco Durango won the stage category, while Argentinian couple Louise Junqueira Malucelli and Marcos Esteban Roberts won the salon category.
Couples from Argentina, Colombia, the United States, Russia, Italy and Norway were among the finalists of this week's unprecedented Virtual Tango World Cup, which has been scaled down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The competition has been held in Buenos Aires since 2002 and features dancers from countries as far away as Japan and Russia.
