Massive Fire Engulfs Dubai's Jumeirah Garden City | VIDEO

A massive fire broke out in Jumeirah Garden City in Dubai on Friday evening with a huge plume of smoke emanating high in the sky visible from far distance. Several videos of the fire incident showing the thick smoke in Dubai's sky surfaced on social media. According to Dubai's civil defence authorities, the fire that broke out involving a fuel tanker in Satwa, was brought under control. No injuries were reported during the fire incident.

The Dubai Civil Defence Operations Authority said that they received a call at 5.26 pm from a person indicating a fire in a truck in the Al Satwa area near Lulu Residence. On information, the Al Etihad Fire Station, immediately mobilised its fire brigade vehicles along with firefighter teams, who rushed to the spot within minutes.

Efforts were initiated to douse the fire and by 5.54 pm, the firefighters brought the blaze under control and followed the process with cooling operations. Later the site was handed over to the relevant authorities as per the standard procedures.

Earlier, eyewitnesses and netizens shared images and videos of clouds of black smoke emanating from the site.

A probe is being done to ascertain the cause of the Dubai fire, as per the sources.
