Pope prays for victims Indoneisa plane crash, quake

Pope Francis on Sunday offered prayers for the victims of an earthquake that killed dozens and injured hundreds on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and for the victims of an air crash in Indonesia last week.

"I pray for the dead, for the injured and for those who lost their home or work,'' Francis said following the weekly Angelus blessing, delivered from the Apostolic Palace library and not from his usual perch, a window overlooking St. Peter's Square, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The pope also asked for strength for those providing rescue services to the quake victims.
