Flights at Tel Aviv Airport, Between Beirut-Jordan Suspended As Israel-Hezbollah Attack Each Other
As Israel and Lebanese militant group Hezbollah launch attacks on each other, flights to and from Tel Aviv Airport have been suspended.
Tel Aviv: Flights to and from the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv have been suspended.
This step comes after Israel launched preemptive strikes on Israel following which Hezbollah has launched rockets on targets in Israel.
Flights Suspended at Ben Gurion International Airport
The Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv is filled with passengers as all Flights to and from the airport have now been cancelled.
The flight operations at the Tel Aviv Airport have been suspended as Israel and Hezbollah have launched attacks on each other.
Air Travel Between Beirut-Jordan Suspended
In another update, all further flights between Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut and Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan have been suspended.
Israel Launches Airstrikes on Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday, August 25, carried out preemptive strikes on Lebanon, with an aim to eliminate terror targets. The IDF called it a 'self-defence act'.
The Israeli military said that it was a step to mitigate the looming threat from Iran-backed terror outfit Hezbollah. The (IDF) stated that they detected that Hezbollah "was planning to launch their attacks on Israeli civilians.”
Hezbollah Fires Rockets in Retaliation
Following the Israeli assault, Hezbollah also fired over 150 projectiles from Lebanon toward Israeli territory. Claiming responsibility for the attack, Hezbollah said that it initiated the strike as a response to the killing of its military commander, Fuad Shukr.
In a separate post on X, the IDF confirmed attack launched towards Israel. "Hezbollah has just launched over 150 projectiles from Lebanon toward Israeli territory. We target terrorist infrastructure, they target civilians," the IDF tweeted.
