British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Monday shared the glimpse of his two-day India visit for the high-level G20 Summit on social media. Calling his visit to India "important", the UK Prime Minister posted a mini vlog on his X handle which showcased his time in India. Notably, this was the first time that Sunak visited India after becoming the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. 

Sharing the video on his social media X (formerly Twitter), the UK PM stated, "An important trip to India for the G20, delivering for the UK on the world stage." 

Interestingly, the video also showed the moments of joy he shared with PM Modi and other world leaders. The UK Prime Minister further shared a glimpse of his meetings held with global leaders. He departed on Sunday after attending a successful G20 Leaders' Summit which was held in New Delhi from September 9 to 10. 

Following his arrival on Friday (September 8), Sunak in an interaction with news agency ANI called himself "a proud Hindu" and said he wished to visit the temple during his stay in the capital. He later on Sunday (September 10) visited the Akshardham Temple in Delhi with his wife Akshata Murty amid tight security.

Sunak on Monday informed the UK  lawmakers about the discussions he had with Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards a free trade agreement (FTA) with India during his visit to New Delhi for the India-led G20 Summit.

In his detailed parliamentary statement, Sunak highlighted his three key aims of the India visit, which included increasing diplomatic pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin over the conflict in Ukraine, climate action and strengthening ties with India.
