Pennsylvania: Taking a jibe at his successor, former US President Barack Obama on Thursday made a joke about Donald Trump changing diapers.

Addressing the public at an election rally in support of Kamala Harris, in Pittsburgh, Obama brought up Harris' efforts to help parents afford necessities like diapers.

“I remember buying diapers. I remember changing diapers. Do you ever think Donald Trump ever changed a diaper?” Obama asked.

Responding to the question, one attendee at the event said, “His own”.

Obama amused by the response said, “I almost said that, but I decided I should not say it.”

Vice President Kamala Harris is as prepared for this job as any nominee for the president in the past, former president Barack Obama said on Thursday, noting that the November election will be “tight” between her and Republican candidate Donald Trump .

“Kamala is as prepared for the job as any nominee for president has ever been. That's who Kamala is. And in the White House, she will have an outstanding partner in Governor Tim Walz,” Obama told a cheering crowd in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania,  battleground State, as the former president came out to address his first campaign rally for Harris in this election cycle.

“If you elect Kamala and Tim, they won't be focused on their problems, they'll be focused on yours. They understand that too many folks here in Pennsylvania and across the country are struggling to pay the bills. Even though wages are steadily growing and inflation is finally slowing, the price of everything from health care to housing to groceries, it's still too high,” he said.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump revealed her support for abortion rights on Thursday, ahead of the release of her upcoming memoir, exposing a stark contrast with her husband, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump , on the crucial election issue.

In a post on X, the former first lady defended women's "individual freedoms" to do what they want with their bodies -- a position at odds with much of the Republican Party and her own husband, who has struggled to find a consistent message on abortion while wedged between anti-abortion supporters within his base and the majority of Americans who support abortion rights.

Melania Trump has rarely publicly expressed her personal political views and has been largely absent from the campaign trail. But in her memoir, set to be released publicly next Tuesday, she argues that the decision to end a pregnancy should be left to a woman and her doctor, "free from any intervention of pressure from the government", according to the published excerpts.

The US presidential elections are scheduled to be held later this year in November.
