Mad about Pringles leads to Guinness record, meet the man who possesses collection of 263 tubes

Let us introduce you to Guillem Ignasi Bauza Cabot, a Palma resident whose incredible collection of recognisable Pringles chips has caused him to smash Record after Record. According to the Guinness World Records website, Pringles, formerly known as "Pringle's Newfangled Potato Chips," made their debut as a snack in the US in 1968 and after 12 years of design changes, their saddle-shaped chips became an instant popularity. Enticed by the distinct taste and stackable, hyperbolic paraboloid form of Pringles, Guillem started his remarkable quest of collecting. Having amassed an astounding 263 Pringles tubes, he declared himself the owner of the greatest collection in May 2023.

"Guillem Ignasi Bauza Cabot owns an outstanding 263 individual Pringles tubes," stated Guinness World Records, sharing a photo of Guillem with his collection on Instagram, claiming the title of possessing the biggest assortment of Pringles tubes. "He became an ardent supporter of the well-known saddle-shaped chip brand and began purchasing any Pringles tube that caught his eye and wasn't already in his collection."

This diversity is reflected in Guillem's collection, which offers tubes for every preference and situation. Beyond its iconic potato chips, Pringles has ventured into the tortilla market and has experimented with bold limited-edition blends. "This collection started so long ago I don't even remember the exact year," Guillem acknowledges, placing the collection's beginnings somewhere between 2010 and 2015. He vividly remembers, "I was on a break from my acting classes when I went to a nearby store to get a tube of Pringles."

Experiencing Guillem's assortment offers a wealth of distinct tastes, ranging from daring Roast Beef with Mustard to diverse takes on beloved favourites. Ice Hockey, Fan, and Disco editions are among the uncommon editions that are exclusive to certain events in the selection. Guillem has a lot more products than just the standard chip-sized tubes. He has a gigantic Pringles tube, the Passport queue is always growing and a lot of special edition tortillas. But it all began with the Christmas bundle, Hot & Spicy. "Among the tubes was the Hot & Spicy variety, which featured a Christmas-themed graphic of Pringles blasting chillies like fireworks." He said to Guinness World Records, "I could read 'limited edition' at the top of the tube", he subsequently continued to add to his collection.
