Despite Facebook's waning popularity, Mark Zuckerberg’s financial position remains strong. Zuckerberg has now entered the exclusive $200 billion club, joining Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Bernard Arnault as the fourth member.

According to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, Zuckerberg’s net worth has surged to $201 billion, largely driven by Meta’s rising stock value. As of a July 2024 filing, most of his wealth comes from his 13% stake in Meta. The company, which owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, reported $134.9 billion in revenue for 2023 and boasts nearly four billion monthly users.

Meta’s focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and innovations in augmented reality and the metaverse have fueled investor enthusiasm. At Meta Connect 2024, Zuckerberg revealed plans to expand Meta AI, already boasting 500 million monthly active users. Additionally, Meta’s development of Orion augmented reality (AR) glasses signals its broader ambitions beyond social media.

Industry figures like Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison have also seen significant increases in their fortune,  but Zuckerberg's financial ascent remains unparalleled.
