Blizzards continue in Istanbul, disrupting traffic

Blizzards continued for a fourth day in Turkey's largest city, bringing traffic to a halt in some areas. Istanbul's Disaster Coordination Center AKOM on Wednesday said up to 50cm (nearly 20 inches) of snow had accumulated in the metropolis' higher-altitude districts.

Turkey's state – run agency reports road and school closures in other parts of the country also affected by wintry weather.
