Egyptian teenager reflects on journey into kite surfing
Egyptian teenager Karim Mahmoud - affectionately known as 'KIMO' - is a young kite surfer with much promise.

Egyptian teenager Karim Mahmoud - affectionately known as 'KIMO' - is a young kite surfer with much promise.
He started kite surfing aged nine and has gone on to become the under-16s Global Kitesports Association (GKA) world champion in 2018.
Mahmoud lives in Portugal in order to train daily and recently took part in the the GKA World Championship in Tarifa, Spain.
The 19-year-old reached the semi-finals and scored the second highest score in a jump while competing in the 'Big Air' discipline.
