Momoland Jane breaks silence on dating rumour with SEVENTEEN Joshua

SEVENTEEN Joshua was recently embroiled in a dating rumour with an Instagram influencer Cho Mi Young. Following that, the singer’s past rumoured relationships also came to light where one of the Internet users mentioned that he was previously dating a specific girl group member. While the original writer of the message didn't directly name any people or specify who they were referring to, many fans immediately assumed it was about Momoland's Jane. The female idol has now cleared the air around their relationship.

Momoland Jane opens up on her relationship status 

Jane penned a long note on her fan community on Saturday and cleared the air about her relationship with Joshua. The singer stated that she looked up her name today, mentioning the search results that showed a connection between her and Joshua. She clarified that she didn't even personally know him and that these rumours have been going about for quite some time. She continued by expressing her reluctance to speak about the matter but her sense of obligation to do so in order to clear things up for her fans.

Jane further added, “During my time in the entertainment industry, I have never once seen in a personal setting the person with whom I’m being linked; in fact, even the people around me have never seen him [in a personal setting], and we have absolutely no connection whatsoever and yet people keep starting from back then all the way to now when several years have passed.”

The K-Pop idol mentioned her confusion about how these rumours started and the several people who contacted her agency to ask about it, which caused misunderstandings between her and the label. She said that by remaining silent in the past, these rumours have grown to become established as true so she made the decision to confront the issue.

All this followed after Joshua became the subject of romantic rumours involving a model earlier this month. One Internet user pointed out the similarities between his and Cho Mi Young’s posts. The fan claimed that they were posting photos of identical products and items while referring to them as a couple of items.
