Pakistani frigate docks ahead of Russia parade

The Pakistani frigate Zulfiquar was on Saturday docked in St. Petersburg and ready to participate in Russia's big Navy Day parade Sunday.

The ship arrived in the city Tuesday and will participate in the parade along with Indian and Iranian ships, as well as dozens of Russian ships, submarines and military planes.

The Day of the Russian Navy is celebrated annually on July 25, with this year being the 325th anniversary of its founding by Peter the Great.

Zulfiquar was commissioned in 2009 and built by a Chinese firm.
