Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will address a session at the 74th United Nations General Assembly on September 27, between 8-9 pm (Indian Standard Time) in New York. PM Modi will be the third speaker at the UNGA. The Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is also scheduled to speak at the session on Friday, shortly after the Indian PM. Prime Minister Modi is expected to speak on work done by the Indian Government to reduce poverty, provide reasonable healthcare, fighting terror, steps to control climate change. He is also likely to speak on the significance of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan drive by his government as the campaign will mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2.
When will the Indian PM address the UNGA session
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a session at the UNGA on September 27 between 8-9 pm IST. The UNGA will begin at 6:30 pm IST on Friday. He is the third speaker at the day's session. The session will start with an address from the President of Mauritius Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory. The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Jusuf Kalla will be speaking after him. Indian PM Narendra Modi will then be in the spotlight at the UNGA. The speech is crucial to India as it is the time, the country is all set to play a bigger role at the international level.
