Teargas billowed across parts of Myanmar's largest city, Yangon, again on Tuesday as police fired a fusillade of canisters into a crowd of anti-coup protestors.
The demonstrators – hundreds of mainly young people – fled in panic as the firing continued.
They soon returned to where they had set up barricades and continued their defiance of the new military government.
Police have adopted increasingly more aggressive tactics in trying to stop the protests.
