The 16-year-old Swedish activist, Greta Thunberg responded to Russian President Vladimir Putin, by changing her Twitter bio after Putin’s comment on her knowledge and understanding. This comes after President Putin and many other leaders around the world accused Greta Thunberg of being "poorly informed". After Greta's speech at the Climate Action Summit at New York many world leaders have spoken up on the issue, which includes, Donald Trump, Canadian MP Maxime Bernier, commentator Andrew Bolt and broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson, President Putin is the new person to join the league. After President Putin's comments, the netizens took to Twitter to express their views on the matter.
Chairing a session at the energy forum in Moscow President Vladimir Putin brought up Greta Thunberg’s speech at UNGA in New York. He said that the 16-year-old was “poorly informed” and he did not "share the common excitement" about her speech. He said, “No one has explained to Greta that the modern world is complex and different and … people in Africa or in many Asian countries want to live at the same wealth level as in Sweden. I’m sure that Greta is a kind and very sincere girl. But adults must do everything not to bring teenagers and children into some extreme situations.”
After President Putin made his remarks on the 16-year-old activist, she changed her Twitter bio. Her new bio read, “A kind but poorly informed teenager”. Earlier, she did the same thing when the US President Donald Trump made comments on her. Back then she changed her bio to, "A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future". Greta’s Thunberg is a champion and pioneer of the 'Friday for Future' movement, she delivered a speech at the UNGA in New York and questioned the determination of world leader towards climate action.

Russia‘s economy is based on gas&oil, so Putin’s statement is not a big surprise. But interesting how scared the establishment is about Greta. She is recognized to be a danger for them.— DJ Bojo (@bojo_dj) October 3, 2019
