Jordanian public sector workers started returning to work on Tuesday, after a ten-week shutdown to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
Social distancing measures are in place, and employees will only be working from 8:30 am - 3 pm (5:30-12 GMT).
According to guidelines, workers who have chronic illnesses or have been in contact with infected people, alongside those who are pregnant women or mothers with young children, won't have to come back to work yet.
They will be allowed to work remotely, if possible.
Universities, schools, kindergartens, mosques, churches, swimming pools, cinemas, wedding halls and entertainment facilities remain closed.
Additionally, a partial curfew remains in place between 7 pm and 8 am (16-5 GMT) nationwide.
Jordan has recorded 711 COVID-19 cases and nine deaths, according to Health Minister Saad Jaber.
However, the number of infections is thought to be far higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected with the virus without feeling sick.
The new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms for most people. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness or death.
