President votes in Tajikistan presidential elections

Voters in Tajikistan cast their ballots Sunday in presidential elections that are widely expected to see the re-election of President Emomali Rahmon for a fifth term.

The authoritarian leader has run the country since 1992.

Four other candidates are running in the election but have run low-key campaigns.

Some opposition figures, including those from the Social Democratic Party, have called for a boycott of the election.
