Russia-Ukraine war: Three killed in overnight Russian missile strike on Sloviansk

An overnight missile strike on the city of Sloviansk in the eastern Donetsk region killed at least three people and wounded six more, Donetsk governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said in a Facebook post on Tuesday morning.

A school and at least seven multi-storey buildings were damaged, Kyrylenko added.

Russian troops pushed deeper into the key eastern Ukrainian city Monday, fighting street by street with Kyiv's forces in a battle that has left Sievierodonetsk in ruins.

In a bid to pressure Moscow to end the war, the European Union agreed to embargo most Russian oil imports by the end of the year.
