Islamabad: Saifullah Khalid, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba(LeT) terrorist and a key mastermind behind several major attacks in India, has reportedly been killed by an unknown gunman in Pakistan's Sindh province. The Pakistani security sources confirmed the killing of Saifullah on Sunday.
He was known for planning the major terror attacks in Nagpur, Rampur and Bengaluru . It is suspected that Saifullah was also behind the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians. Saifullah was residing in Nepal with a false identity before relocating to Pakistan's Sindh province, where he was killed.

Saifullah Khalid was reportedly residing under the alias “Vinode Kumar” in Nepal and was also married to a local woman, Nagma Banu, who silently coordinating Lashkar's recruitment and logistic operational base in the region.
Khalid was known to operate a major LeT module in Nepal, supporting the movements of the terrorists in India through the porous Indo-Nepal Border. He was also involved in fundraising for Lashkar-e-Taiba and its political front, Jammat-ud-Dawa(JuD).
On May 18, Saifullah Khalid was killed by an unidentified assailant in Malti Talkula, Badin district, on Sunday. His death comes as a major development amid the fight against Pakistan-backed terrorism.
