Serbia's military are setting up a field hospital with 500 beds in the main sports hall in Belgrade due to a recent increase in coronavirus cases.

Belgrade deputy mayor Goran Vesic said the makeshift hospital is being opened as a "precautionary measure" as hospitals in the capital are reaching their full capacity because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Serbia has seen a spike in infections after loosening its lockdown rules.

So far Serbia has 16,131 confirmed cases and 311 deaths.
