Khamenei's Daughter, Son-in-Law, Grandchild Killed In US-Israel Strikes On Tehran

Tehran: Amidst reports that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed, there are claims that his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild have also been killed in joint US-Israel strikes on Tehran, according to a member of the Tehran City Council. The attack, which targeted Khamenei's residential compound, reportedly led to the killing of Khamenei and his family members. 

The reports of the deaths came amidst conflicting claims about Khamenei's own fate, with US President Donald Trump announcing that the Supreme Leader had been killed in the strikes. The Israeli officials even claimed to recover the body of Khamenei from the debris of his residential compound, struck by the US and Israeli military. However, there is no official confirmation from the Iranian officials. Earlier, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied these reports, stating that Khamenei is alive and safe.

The strikes, which were carried out in response to Iran's alleged threats to regional security, have stirred fears of a massive conflict. Iran has vowed to retaliate, with its military launching missiles and drones at US and Israeli targets in the region.

Khamenei's Family Members Killed

The son-in-law and daughter of Khamenei were reportedly killed in the strikes, although their identities have not been officially disclosed. The Supreme Leader's family members are known to be influential figures in Iranian society, with his daughters married to prominent clerical and political families.

Khamenei's daughter Bushra is married to Mohammad-Javad Mohammadi Golpayegani, son of Gholamhossein Mohammadi Golpayegani, who serves as Khamenei's chief of staff. Another daughter, Hoda, is married to Mesbah al-Hoda Bagheri Kani, a member of a prominent clerical family.

Trump Claimed Khamenei Eliminated

Amidst various reports floating about the Iranian Supreme Leader's fate, Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, has claimed that Khamenei was killed in the strikes, calling it justice for the Iranian people and the world. Trump stated that the operation was aimed at eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime and that the "heavy and pinpoint bombing" would continue until peace is achieved in the Middle East.

The Israeli officials have also confirmed that the strikes targeted Khamenei's compound, but have not officially commented on his fate. 

The strikes from the US and Israel saw a series of retaliatory attacks from Iran, with missiles and drones targeting US and Israeli bases in the region.
