Some school pupils return to classroom in England

UK children from school years 1 and 6 returned to the classroom on Monday, some for the first time in 10 weeks, as lockdown measures eased.

Pupils in year 6 arrived at staggered times at Haddenham Community Junior School in Aylesbury, as part of the school's strategy to keep parents and children 2 metres (6.5 feet) apart.

Parents said they were confident in the school's ability to put health and safety first.

One pupil said he was hoping to see his friends - later his mother said that being at home for so long had been stressful and boring for the children.
