An elderly gentleman in the UK had his life spared cause he picked the right time to go to the loo. During his trip to the toilet, a car came crashing through his house, narrowly missing him. While sitting in his living room in Cambridge, Stan Miller, 75 was writing some Christmas cards when he got up to go to the toilet.

How it went down...

Just seconds after leaving the room a car that was later identified as a Vauxhall Corsa came smashing through the wall of his bungalow, coming to a stop only in the living room, where he was sitting just a moment ago. The driver of the vehicle is suspected of being drunk and the 32-year-old man was arrested on suspected charges of drunk driving. Experts were later dispatched to the house of Miller in order to determine the extent of the damage and determine if the property is still structurally sound.

Miller's Daughter, Denise Flood, 41, said, "If he hadn't have moved the wall and window would have just landed on top of him".

"The front end of the car is sat in the middle of the room. "It's the sort of thing you see on the telly but you don't expect it to happen to your own family.

"A neighbour called me from dad's phone to say what had happened."

"Luckily I only live up the road, so I was here within seconds.

"We all live close by, so he's got plenty of places to stay.

"He's a very private man and hates that we're all worried about him."

Stan Miller was quoted saying he heard a loud crash and the moment he reached the hallway of his home. Stan himself claimed that because his house is located on the corner of a T-junction, there have been a few "near misses" over the years.
