A reporter is trying to copyright 'fake news' so Trump can't use it. Emily Bloch founded a website called fakesnewstm.com which aims to trademark 'fake news'.

Journalist Emily Bloch has founded a website cum campaign which seeks to trademarking the term 'fake news' often used by the American President. Ever since Donald Trump became the President of the United States, he has been constantly using the term and calling the media and their news fake. Bock aims to trademark the term 'fake news' so that she can serve a 'cease and desist' letter for trademark violation to the President or any celebrity or famous personality who uses the term.

About the movement
Emily Bloch is an American journalist with over three years of experience. She has contributed to a number of American publications, internationally famous and local. Bloch is also president of the Society of Professional Journalists Florida Pro Chapter. Emily said that though it's difficult to trademark a generic term like 'fake news' she will give it a try because it's worth it. It is unfair to victimise an entire profession in the name of falsehood, the platform said.

With this trademark, the usage is expected to be conscious and penalising. Emily said the platform is a joke yet it is a joke on point and fight for a reason.

Trump calls media 'fake'
President Donald Trump has been calling the media fake for a long time. He is recently facing the impeachment enquiry which has layers and witnesses adding on with each passing day. A few days back, the President called two leading publications - 'New York Times' and 'Washinton Post' fake. He even said that he will not allow them to access the White House again.
