US Strikes Iran: Just a day after the US dropped seven B-2 bombers and 30,000-pound bunker buster bomb on Iran with its surprise military operation, ‘Operation Midnight Hammer’ on Iran's key nuclear sites in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz, the US has released a new video of the B-2 bombers taking off for and returning safely from Iran after conducting the attack.

The Trump administration had entered the Israel-Iran warzone with its “precision strikes" on Iran's nuclear sites over the weekend, days after the US said it is considering if it should enter the war or not. The announcement was made the by US President, Donald Trump through his social media accounts, describing the attack as “very successful” and that the nuclear sites were “obliterated."

The Bombers Delivered 4,20,000 Pounds of Explosives

The attack, that went undetected according to the US officials, was launched to give another devastating blow to Iran's nuclear ambitions. The B-2 stealth bombers that were employed in the operation delivered 4,20,000 pounds of explosives. The mission followed nine days of Israeli offensive on Iran.

Prior to the strike, President Trump had stated that he would decide in two weeks whether to strike Iran, a move which according to experts, aimed at buying time and concealing the imminent attack.

A group of B-2 bombers flew west from Missouri toward a US base in the Pacific, followed by seven other B-2s carrying two ‘bunker buster’ bombs, each flying east with minimal communications to avoid detection.

The B-2s, each having two crew airmen, reached the Eastern Mediterranean after 18 hours of undetected flying and began their mission.

Reports show the route included the airspace of Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, though it is unclear if they were informed of the attack in advance.

“Our B-2s went in and out and back without the world knowing at all,” said the US Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, to the reporters.

Bombardment Lasted 30 Minutes

Reportedly, an hour before the bombers entered Iran, a US submarine had launched more than two dozen ‘Tomahawk cruise missiles’ at the nuclear targets, including uranium preparation site in Isfahan, followed by the first B-2 dropping a pair of GBU-57 on the Iranian nuclear sites at around 2:10 am in Tehran.

Reports suggest the aerial bombardment lasted about 30 minutes while the cruise missiles from the submarine were the last American munitions fired, targeting a third nuclear site at Isfahan.
