VIDEO: Afghans Storm Pak Consulate in Germany's Frankfurt, Bring Down Pakistani Flag

New Delhi: A group of Afghan nationals stormed into the Pakistani consulate in Germany's Frankfurt and brought down the Pakistani flag.

Dramatic visuals from the scene have surfaced wherein Afghans can be seen trespassing into the premises and the climbing atop the pole to take the Pakistani flag down.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened around the Pak consulate in the wake of the attack. While storming the consulate, the miscreants even clashed with the security forces deployed there.

Police Make Arrests

According to media reports, the Germany Police have made some arrest in connection with the matter.

The miscreants were seen holding the old flag of Afghanistan (before Taliban takeover), while entering the premises

Notably, the anger among Afghans against Pakistan is said to be stemming from the facilitation of Taliban by Pakistan.

This anger was once more displayed against Pakistan when its former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was verbally abused by an Afghan national during his family trip in Paris in June 2023. A video of the incident in France had surfaced online.

Security Beefed Up Outside German Embassy in Karachi

In the wake of the attack in Frankfurt, Pakistan has beefed up security around German Embassy in Karachi. The exact reason behind what led the Afghans to storm the consulate is not clear as of now. Some media reports claim that the order directing the Afghan refugees in Pakistan to return to their land could be one of the reasons behind the attack.
