Bengali actress and Trinamool Congress leader Sayantika Banerjee reportedly walked off the sets of her upcoming film Chayabaj. What caused this was an incident of alleged harassment involving the film's choreographer. Not just this, Banerjee has also levied accusations of mismanagement on the film's producer.

Sayantika Banerjee's experience on the sets of her film Chayabaj was first reported by a Bangladeshi media outlet. Following this, the actress shared her version of events in a conversation with Anandabazar Online. Speaking about the instance of alleged harassment, Banerjee detailed how though initially they had a choreographer on board, the individual left midway due to monetary issues.
Following this, Michael was brought on board. Sayantika's problem with him arose when he allegedly held her hand without consent and she called him out in front of everyone.

She said, "Initially, a teacher came for the dance shoot but he left because of monetary issues. Then the young boy called Michael came. Michael, without my consent, held my hand and I stopped him in front of everyone."
Chayabaj is being produced by Manirul Islam, a first-time producer. Banerjee alleged that the producer would just spring new schedules and song sequences on them. The film has also been plagued with technical issues, something the producer has also failed to acknowledge.
She said, "Time and again, I tried to contact the producer regarding some technical issues but did not get any response. He has no planning and no management. We were suddenly told that a dance sequence would be shot. When Manirul did not respond after being called many times, I said that I would not work with Michael like this."
