Famous Five Bollywood Cricket jodis of all times

1. Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi 

It was undoubtedly the most adventurous and romantic stories of all times when the suave, handsome and the youngest captain of the Indian cricket team Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi married the leading charismatic lady from Bollywood Sharmila Tagore. It wasn't just the glamour they represented but it was the story of the union of two religions as well. Sharmila changed her religion and her name to Ayesha Sultana despite there being opposition to the marriage from both sides of the family. 

No one believed that the marriage would last, but not only did make it work, they scripted the story of one of the most binding marriages Bollywood has ever seen one crafted with love and respect for each other.  

2. Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech

Yuvraj Singh has seen his share of beautiful damsels from Bollywood, be it getting linked to Kim Sharma or Deepika Padukone but it was the gorgeous Hazel Keech who finally stole his heart for eternity. The couple tied the knot in 2016 in Chandigarh. The rumours started doing the rounds when the two were spotted partying post-Harbhajan Singh's wedding. Yuvraj popped the question to his lady love in Bali and soon it was wedding season in the Singh household. 

3. Geeta Basra and Harbhajan Singh

The model turned actress tied the knot with the pace bowler in 2015. Since then they have been blessed with a daughter and they continue to rock the social circuits. They had a lavish wedding and an equally grand reception where the beautiful bride won everyone's heart with her grace and elegant style. 

4. Sangeeta Bijlani – Mohd. Azharuddin

Theirs was a story which caught the nation's eyes, a successful Indian team captain divorcing his wife Naureen with whom he had two sons, to marry the very fiery and glamorous actress Sangeeta Bijlani. The couple met at a commercial shoot and dated for a while before tying the knot in 1996. But despite the whirlwind romance, things could not stick out for long between the two and they parted ways after reports of Azhar dealing in match-fixing came out coupled with rumours of his affair with badminton player Jwala Gutta. 

Their romance also featured in a movie Azhar, a biopic on the life of the tainted cricketer's life. 

5. Sagarika Ghatge - Zaheer Khan

Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge of the Chak De fame got hitched to Indian pace bowler Zaheer Khan in 2017 and the wedding was a culmination of style, music and lots of fun. The couple tied the knot in a registered court marriage but hosted a gala reception event for close friends and family. The couple dated for a while before officially declaring their love to the world.

Zaheer retired from cricket in 2014 but marriage will sure keep his future innings busy. Before dating Sagarika he was famously hitched with another Bollywood actress Isha Sharvani for almost 8 years before they called it quits due to conflicting schedules and long-distance relationship status. Zaheer continues to play in the IPL for Delhi Daredevils.
