Defender Octa in India: Land Rover Defender, one of the best-selling models from the British luxury SUV manufacturer, will soon showcase the Defender Octa, for the Indian market. According to the JLR dealership, the deliveries of the Defender Octa will commence in late March 2025. Last year, Land Rover launched the Defender Octa, which has enhanced off-road capabilities, a more powerful engine, and a more rugged interior.

Land Rover India launched the Defender Octa at ₹2.65 crore (ex-showroom). However, the deliveries of this version will commence from late March 2025.
The exteriors of the Land Rover Defender Octa has more rugged appearance. The Defender Octa has a tougher underbody protection, wider stance and an increase in the ground clearance. Regarding off-road capabilities, the Defender Octa has a water wading depth of 1m, which the company claims is double than that of the standard Defender.
On stepping inside, the Defender Octa has a similar dashboard layout as the regular Defender. In the Defender Octa, it comes with Khaki and Ebony Ultrafabrics, which are a sustainable and a lightweight material. However, the Defender Octa has performance seats, which the company claims offer great lateral support and buyers have multiple customisation options of the customisation.
The Land Rover Defender Octa has a 6D dynamic air suspension hydraulic interlinked dampers, and height adjustable airsprings for a better ride quality and experience.
Land Rover Defender Octa is equipped with a 4.4L V8 twin-turbo petrol engine, which produces 626 BHP and 750Nm torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Land Rover claims that Defender Octa has a 0-100 km/h sprint time of four seconds.
