Air India collaborates with Alaska Airlines for new interline partnership

Air India-Alaska Airlines collaboration: Air India has established an interline partnership with Alaska Airlines, improving its international network and offering seamless connections for its passengers. This collaboration enables Air India passengers travelling from various gateways in North America, such as New York JFK, Newark-New Jersey, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco, and Vancouver, to connect with 32 destinations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada within Alaska Airlines' network.
The agreement encompasses bilateral interlining, allowing both airlines to sell tickets for each other's routes. Additionally, a Special Prorate Agreement has been reached, permitting Air India to offer 'through fares' on routes covering Alaska Airlines' extensive network. Passengers can also benefit from Air India's complimentary baggage allowance on Alaska Airlines routes.
Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer at Air India, expressed that this partnership will significantly expand their international presence.
“The tie-up with Alaska Air will expand our international footprint in the US and Canada and even extend our reach to Mexico boosting our network expansion plans. It will help us offer more choice to our guests and mark a significant step forward in our mission to enhance connectivity,” Aggarwal said.

From Air India's current North American gateways, passengers can conveniently connect to several destinations within Alaska Airlines' network. These destinations include major cities like New York JFK, Newark-New Jersey, Chicago, Washington DC, and San Francisco, as well as various other locations in the USA and Mexico.

Air India currently operates 47 non-stop flights each week from Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai to five American cities, including New York, Newark, Washington DC, Chicago, and San Francisco. Additionally, the airline offers 14 non-stop flights every week from Delhi to Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.
