Stephanie Pope, a long-time Boeing veteran and current head of Boeing Global Services, is anticipated to be named as the chief operating officer (COO) of Boeing, positioning her as a likely successor to Chief Executive David Calhoun, according to media reports.

The announcement of Pope as COO is expected as early as Monday, as reported by sources familiar with the matter. The report suggests that Calhoun is likely to retain his position as CEO for at least another year.

Boeing has refrained from commenting on the report.

With a two-decade history at Boeing, Pope serves as an executive vice president of the company and holds the roles of president and CEO at Boeing Global Services, as detailed on Boeing's website.

In February, Boeing awarded Calhoun an incentive package valued at approximately $5.29 million, indicating a potential continuity in leadership until at least the mid-2020s, according to sources. Boeing had extended the required retirement age from 65 to 70 in April 2021, allowing Calhoun to continue in his current role as CEO.
