Jio unleashed record-breaking 5G technology rollout: Akash Ambani

Jio has achieved the fastest 5G technology rollout globally. The company is deploying a 5G cell every 10 seconds, an unprecedented feat, said Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm. Speaking at the inauguration of the India Mobile Congress 2023, Ambani attributed this progress to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has united India and inspired the nation.

Jio has installed more than one million 5G cells across all 22 circles in India, contributing to 85 per cent of the country's overall 5G capacity.

Additionally, Jio's 5G network provides one of the world's fastest internet speeds. Jio's 5G roll-out is powered by a 100 per cent in-house 5G stack, designed, developed and manufactured entirely by Indian talent, he added.

Akash Ambani also expressed his commitment to leveraging technology to "build a digital statue of unity." This ambitious endeavour aims to unite and inspire India's 1.4 billion citizens towards the common goal of making India the most prosperous, technologically advanced, and inclusive nation.
