Ahmedabad-based Vivanta Industries Ltd, providing consultancy and Turnkey solutions, aims to transform operations with focus on next-gen technology ventures, as it forays into segments such as drone, IT, AI, and robotics, including charging stations for electric vehicles (EV).
In September 2023, Vivanta entered into In-principal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vivanta Drone Research Centre Tanzania Ltd (VDRCTL).
In terms of expansion plans in the drone segment, Vivanta Industries Ltd will acquire a 50 per cent stake in VDRCTL for setting up assembly lines as well as research and development of drones (R&D).
On the EV front, Vivanta received a work order amounting $5 million from Electric Vehicle Organisational Centre North America Corporation (EVOCNA) for establishing an EV charging and manufacturing unit.

The plant is expected to be established in the next 8-24 months, while the required software is likely to be ready in the next 6-12 months from the date of receipt of order.
The order is for commercialisation of EV technologies, which includes vehicle-to-grid, vehicle-to-building, and vehicle-to-load capabilities, by validating the technologies and demonstrating the commercial viability of such technologies. The firm expects to reach sales beyond $10 million after establishing the project.
