Silver Price Today: Comex Silver Surges Over 6% On US-Venezuela Conflict - Key Details

After the escalations in the US-Venezuela conflict, the silver rates opened on January 5, 2026 with a 6% against the previous close, hitting an intraday high of $75.968 per ounce. After the US carried out military strikes against the South American nation, the market expected silver exports from Chad and Peru, the two largest silver exporters in the global merchandise trade to face transportation hurdles.

The silver rates on MCX rose to an intraday high of Rs ₹2,49,900 per kg, rising nearly 13,500 against Friday's close of ₹2,36,316 per kg.

Analysts expect the demand-supply alterations to fuel price hike for devil's metal, however, the chances of profit trigger at higher levels is also present.

Silver price today is riding a bullish trend after the fears surrounding demand-supply constraint caused by the US-Venezuela conflict.
