BYJU'S CFO Ajay Goel resigns after 2022 financial audit

BYJU'S, a educational technology firm, has seen its Chief Financial Officer, Ajay Goel, resign after overseeing the audit for the 2022 financial year. According to an official statement by the company, Goel will be returning to Vedanta. In response to this development, BYJU'S has brought in industry veteran Pradip Kanakia to serve as a senior advisor. Additionally, Nitin Golani, who currently holds the position of President (Finance), will take on the role of India Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and assume the responsibilities associated with the company's financial functions.

In a statement, Ajay Goel expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank the founders and colleagues at BYJU'S for their support in completing the FY'22 audit within a three-month timeframe. I appreciate the backing I received during my brief yet impactful tenure at BYJU'S." Goel's transition will occur once all the necessary formalities for the financial year 2022 audit have been concluded.

Notably, BYJU'S is currently awaiting certain approvals in order to file its long-pending financial results for the fiscal year 2022.
